STUDENT VOTER EMPOWERMENT
What are Student Voter Empowerment Clubs? A program of March to the Polls, the Student Voter Empowerment Clubs (SVEC) are campus student-led, non-partisan groups focused on making civic engagement fun. Open to grades 9-12, SVEC promotes civics education and participation through dynamic year-round, peer-to-peer outreach activities and hands on learning experiences. With clubs in Dallas and Tarrant counties, some of the student-led activities include candidate forums, town halls, voter registration drives, meetings with elected officials, voting-themed contests, and field trips to legislative and governmental meetings.
